About Richard Braybrooke
My coaching journey started back in 1991 when I trained to teach aerobics, specifically on a Rebounder. These are shock absorbent surfaces that look like mini trampolines. Great for reducing the shock of a hard surface. Not too long after that I trained to coach circuit and weight training and ran some fantastic innovative classes, like boxercise, for a number of years. In 2000 I began training with the British Wheel of Yoga and ran Power Yoga classes in Bristol for a number of years. In 2011 I trained to teach Pilates and shortly after I qualified to teach on the Pilates studio apparatus, the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair and Spine Corrector. Over the years of working one to one with people I have gained a lot of remedial experience, helping people with back problems, neurological conditions like MS and IBM as well as with stroke recovery and ME.
Alongside my fitness coaching I have trained in a number of other modalities. Throughout the 90s I qualified as a counsellor and as a Hypno-Psychotherapist and have been running my Hypnotherapy practice since 2000. I’m also a qualified Nutrition Advisor.
My passion is helping people go beyond the perceived limitations of their mind, either through a change in physicality or with new thoughts and awareness.
